Bernie works with many Funeral Directors across Merseyside.

Before carrying out his role as a Celebrant, Bernie gained 20 years experience as a Secondary School Teacher in various schools across Merseyside.

​

​Bernie also served as a secondary school SENCo, a role which would lead to his appointment as Assistant Head teacher and Special Educational Needs Consultant.

 

He currently serves on the board of governors in a Liverpool Primary school. 

​

His wide and varied experiences bring much to this privileged role.

​

Bernie holds Bachelor's degrees in Theology and in French, a PGCE and a Masters degree in Advanced Educational Practice (SEN).
